Overview of the Program

The initiative permits secondary schools from all around the world to propose exceptional individuals. In order to participate, schools must first apply for recommendation credentials, making sure they fulfill ZJU's requirements.

 

Participating high schools must meet the following requirements:

  • A significant focus on holistic education and student development.                
  • A demonstrated history of high-quality education.
  • Demonstrated capacity to generate qualified overseas student applicants.
  • Sufficient facilities and resources.

 

Recommendation criteria for students:

 

  • Must be non-Chinese nationals with excellent academic records and a strong interest in Chinese culture.
  • For students studying at Chinese high schools: academic performance must generally rank within the top 10% of their grade.
  • For students at overseas high schools: academic performance must generally rank within the top 5%.
  • Must meet ZJU’s international undergraduate admission criteria.
  • Requires a recommendation from their school’s principal.

 

How Do Schools Apply?

 

  • Schools must apply for recommendation credentials by November 25, 2024.
  • ZJU will review applications and decide based on the school’s overall educational performance and student outcomes.
  • Schools with valid existing credentials do not need to reapply.

 

Procedure for Selecting Students:

 

  • Approved schools will recommend students who meet the criteria. Student lists must be submitted by December 15, 2024.
  • ZJU will review applications and may conduct interviews or exams. Final selections will be announced by January 15, 2025.

 

Priority consideration for the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship 2025 will be given to admitted students enrolled in Chinese-taught programs.
