The Centre of Taiwan Studies is pleased to announce up to three MA Taiwan Studies scholarships designed to support postgraduate students pursuing a degree in Taiwan Studies.

The SOAS University of London International Scholarship is worth £5,000 and will be awarded to talented and inspiring UK/EU and overseas fee-paying students. SOAS University of London is now accepting applications for the academic session 2022/2023.

Scholarship Benefits

The SOAS University of London will provide three scholarships worth £5000 to support a master’s study for international students.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Students from all nationalities are eligible for this SOAS University of London International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The full-time and part-time MA Taiwan Studies programme
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, must meet the eligibility criteria:
  • The scholarship is open to UK/EU and overseas fee-paying students.
  • Applicants must possess a good honours degree from a UK university or an equivalent institution recognized by SOAS.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit a complete online application for admission to MA Taiwan Studies.
  • Supporting Documents: Selectors will be looking at the degree results and also at academic references, statements and other relevant information.
  • Admission Requirements: To be selected for a postgraduate program at this university, candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must provide a certificate of IELTS, TOEFL, or Pearson Academic to meet the English language proficiency requirements to be eligible for an offer to study at SOAS.
