What we seek to accomplish together:
- Incident Management: Respond to managed security technologies’ fault alerts and/or customer escalation. This includes performing incident/problem escalation within SLA to internal technical teams or external product vendor until resolution.
- Troubleshooting: Provide support for security solutions, including troubleshooting product-specific technical issues within SLA and work with internal teams/external vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Patch Management: Plan and apply regular updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain system compliance.
- Service and Change Requests: Respond to inbound Change Requests (CRs), Service Requests (SRs) or other queries within SLA.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor security systems and perform regular health checks and tasks to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams for reporting and to enhance security measures into ongoing operations.
- Proactive Measures: Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and implement proactive measures to improve security posture.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to security standards and develop / update comprehensive documentation and guides.
A little bit about you:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles.
- Knowledge in AWS cloud native security tools and services.
- Practical working expertise with one or more of the following technologies: Imperva DAM, Cyberark, Trend Micro Cloud One, Web Gateway (i.e. McAfee) and AquaSec
- Sound fundamental knowledge on IP networking (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, etc.) and Firewalls (e.g. Checkpoint, Fortigate)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Reporting to the People Services Manager, you will play a significant part within the People & Culture (P&C) team. Being an integral part of the wider P&C team, this role provides comprehensive information to the organisation and colleagues including but not limited to People & Culture policy responses, handle P&C transactions and records within our Human Resources Information System (SuccessFactors) whilst ensuring 100% data accuracy and compliance, manage Talent Acquisition processes, and system updates and changes.
Your day in the life at Optus
- Respond expertly, accurately and promptly to enquiries raised by leaders and colleagues via ServiceNow (HR Assist) online ticketing system.
- Accurately analyse and interpret policies and procedures to respond to enquiries, demonstrating curiosity as well as a high commitment to service in seeking clarity and understanding.
- Generate documentation and colleague letters when required.
- Liaise with internal Centres of Excellences including Talent Acquisition, Reward & Recognition, Senior Advisory, People and Culture Business Partners, Directors and Associate Directors as required to appropriately respond to or redirect enquiries.
- Actively provide input into system or protocol/process improvements, including updating and redesigning documentation, reporting etc.
- Recommend and implement improvements in People & Culture administration processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
About you
We would love to hear about your high customer service orientation, your ability to problem solve and drive enquiries to resolution, as well as your ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have strong attention to detail and a keen eye for data accuracy and interpretation. A tertiary qualification in People and Culture or a similar Business field is desirable.
Experience in a similar role is crucial to your success as you will support People and Culture initiatives and projects to continue to develop your capabilities, including administrative support for change programs and other works, as well as supporting the broader People and Culture team. Experience within a similar People and Culture operations role, working within a ticketing system across high volumes of diverse complexities would be helpful.
