Due to ongoing expansion and investment in our Netherlands team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Forwarder to join our team in Rotterdam-Botlek. In Rotterdam, Pentagon works from a brand new, state of the art, facility with a 5,000 sqm warehouse. You will work in an experienced and enthusiastic warehouse operations team and will find that at Pentagon we attach great importance to a pleasant and positive workplace culture.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be working in the warehouse operations team with duties as described below, in line with client directives and Pentagon standard operating procedures. Previous experience of a minimum of 5 years is essential.

This role is fulltime and onsite.

Main Duties

• Receiving and checking all freight into the warehouse.
• Contact with drivers, checking CMR and transport documents
• All incoming freight to be weighed, measured, and booked in via the WMS.
• Line-item check customers freight in accordance with current SOP’s.
• Communicating with Warehouse Supervisor and all warehouse staff.
• Preparing, packing, labelling goods for despatch.
• Stock control on customers’ goods in our warehouse and yard.
• Use of forklifts.
• Keep warehouse and yard clean, tidy and safe
• Working with our software systems to process shipments

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Valid Forklift / Reach truck Licences
• Health and Safety awareness.
• Manual handling awareness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Conscientious and flexible.
• A high level of accuracy in operations and computer data processing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the Dutch language and basic skills in the English language (written and verbal communication) are essential.
• Resident in the greater Rotterdam area or willingness to commute to the Pentagon Rotterdam facility by car (public transport is limited).
• The candidate must have an authorisation to work in the Netherlands.
