ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a resourceful self-starter who is passionate about the world of insurance to manage our Insurance Operations team sitting across credentialing, eligibility, and billing as well as working directly with payers on our health plan contracts, allowances, and reimbursement rates. You will work as part of a rapidly growing team in a fast-paced environment, leading critical business initiatives helping to scale the Insurance Operations team and function.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Manage all of the functions that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient revenue; from credentialing and insurance verification, through claims submission, denial management, and payment and reporting
    • Ensure revenue cycle meets all financial goals through efficient and effective operations
    • Spearhead initiatives to optimize insurance billing outcomes 
    • Lead business planning strategy and drive insights and improvements across process and systems to improve insurance billing operations
    • Manage the Insurance Operations team;
    • Oversee the Credentialing Manager, Billing Manager, and Eligibility Specialist Design and plan for team growth at scale 
    • Run the Insurance Operations team OKR process; lead meetings, keep the team on track to hit KPIs and goals, and communicate out updates, meeting plans, and follow ups
    • Manage the Insurance Operations systems, tools, and process documentation 
    • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap of prioritized operations procedures and policies
    • Work closely with payers on contracting and negotiation
    • Maintain insurance carrier and broker relationships
    • Build institutional knowledge of complex insurance logic across insurance payors
    • Monitors program implementations to ensure they are achieving expected volume and revenue goals
    • Drive reimbursement rate improvements, increases, and outcomes
    • Work cross-functionally  using innovative problem-solving methods to achieve insurance related business plan objectives
    • Lead the translation of complicated billing and credentialing insights into the product we build

ABOUT YOU

    • Experience managing the end to end Revenue Cycle
    • Experience with payor requirements for credentialing, enrollment, and contracting, and working directly with payors
    • You love solving complex problems, and have experience and thrive in the fast-paced start-up life working effectively with internal team and external carriers
    • Growth mindset — a mentality of approaching unknowns with excitement, a penchant for learning new skills and technologies to solve new operational challenges
    • Throughput, velocity, and independence — an ability to drive and build projects from 0 to 1 and manage competing priorities
    • Strong communication skills, and the ability to be self-reliant and super-resourceful
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to effectively present to internal and external audiences including insurance carrier partners
    • Experience managing individuals, or a team/s

$140,000 - $150,000 a year

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,000 and $150,000 per year. This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the Company believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The Company expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the Company consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
